Jim Bray - Super Teen 1980Jim Bray - Super Teen 1980Super Teen: Where did you go to school?

Jim: Chaffee High School in Ontario, California. It's the second biggest high school in the United States. It had a lot of sports activities and I was real proud because I was elected "King of the Year."

Super Teen: Were you a good student?

Jim: I had about a 3.4 average. I have a lot of good memories from high school. I was going to go to college, but then I won the role in Roller Boogie.

Super Teen: What were you going to take in college?

Jim: I was going to major in business of some kinds. I wanted to take freshman year and find out what I really wanted.

Super Teen: When did you start skating?

Jim: I started when I was five years old. I've been doing it for thirteen years now. I first got interested in it from some girls who were neighbors. I was horrible at first but I just kept doing it. I had a couple of coaches who liked me and encouraged me. They said I had a good appearance and could project really well, so I just kept on.

Super Teen: How did you get the role in Roller Boogie?

Jim: I did modeling and commercials when I was younger. Originally I was just going to skate for the actor they selected to play opposite Linda Blair but they couldn't find any actors they liked who skated, so they asked me if I could act and they gave me a chance. They liked me so they said they would give me voice lessons and teach me to act, so that's what happened. I was hesitant about it at first, but now I'm really happy because I'm getting other acting offers and I think I'm going to make a career out of it.

Super Teen: So what's next for you?

Jim: I have a TV show coming up called Rollout. I'm the host of it. I have special guests and I interview people like Erik Estrada, Loni Anderson and Val Bertinelli and then a group like Le Chic is on. it will air on Saturdays at 8PM and should be really fun. I did another TV show called The Big Show. I do skating and acting in it. It has Steve Allen, Gary Coleman, Loni Anderson and Peggy Fleming as well as myself as the guests.

Super Teen: Where do you live now?

Jim: Newport Beach, Ca. I surf a lot and really love the beach.

Super Teen: What are your hobbies?

Jim: I'm a sports enthusiast. I collect picture of pretty girls. I like riding dirt bikes a lot.

Super Teen: What kind of music do you like?

Jim: I used to play with a group when I was younger and I have a chance to start singing again. I like rock and disco a lot.

Super Teen: Is working in the movies the way you imagined it would be?

Jim: It's not as glamorous and there are a lot of things I didn't know that I learned. I like it a lot though.

Super Teen: What kind of girls do you like?

Jim: I like a girl who has a lot of feeling for me who dresses super neat. I like girls who have interests of their own. I don't like girls who hang all over me. A great personality means a lot to me. I can't stand phonies. I like pretty girls but I don't like that phony act a lot of girls put on to try to impress a guy. I like a girl who's fun when we go out but I also like it when she can share some quiet and romantic times with me.
